ClickStrat Pty Ltd ("ClickStrat", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in Australia. We operate an expert network platform that connects clients with domain experts. 2. What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including: name, email address, company name, job title, and research briefs submitted via our website; expert application data including professional history, LinkedIn profile, and areas of expertise; communication records including emails and call transcripts; payment details processed via our payment provider (we do not store card details directly). We also collect data automatically, including IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, and usage data through cookies and analytics tools.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data to: provide the ClickStrat platform and services; match clients with appropriate experts; communicate with you about your engagements; send service-related updates and, where you have consented, marketing communications; comply with legal and regulatory obligations; improve our platform and services. Our legal basis for processing is: performance of a contract (for service delivery), legitimate interests (for improving services and security), consent (for marketing), and legal obligation (for compliance activities).
4. HubSpot and third-party tools
We use HubSpot as our CRM and marketing platform. Information submitted through our lead capture forms is sent to HubSpot and stored in their systems. HubSpot's data processing is governed by their own privacy policy and data processing agreement. We have executed a data processing agreement with HubSpot in accordance with GDPR requirements. We also use analytics tools (including analytics provided by our cloud infrastructure). These tools may use cookies to collect usage data.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the platform and analytical cookies to understand how visitors use our site. Analytical cookies are only set with your consent. You can manage cookie preferences via our cookie banner or your browser settings. We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only: with expert candidates and clients as necessary to facilitate engagements (always with appropriate consent and confidentiality arrangements); with our service providers (HubSpot, cloud infrastructure, payment processors) under data processing agreements; with legal or regulatory authorities where required by law.
7. Data retention
We retain client and expert data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years thereafter for legal and compliance purposes. Call transcripts and engagement records are retained for 7 years. Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your data subject to legal retention requirements.
8. International transfers
ClickStrat operates from Australia and processes data on servers in the United States (via AWS us-east-1). Data transfers from Australia to the US are conducted under appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
9. Your rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); complain about our handling of your personal information. Australian residents may exercise rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@clickstrat.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10. Security
We take data security seriously. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS with security controls aligned to industry standards. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant supervisory authority as required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
